Artsy Endeavors Week of Oct 21
October 26, 2018
Nerissa Alford
I’m hoping to begin this as a weekly post. I often speak about how daily life inspires me. I shouldn’t even tell you how many photos & videos are on my phone - thanks for the large phone memory & extra cloud space, honey.
I am working on a project with another Mil Spouse. I am so excited & honored to be working on it. This was one of my concepts Teamwork in ALS. It didn’t make the cut, but I’m thinking of making it into a card design.
Beading again … Those that just know me as an illustrator & photographer may not know my first inkling of a creative business began in jewelry making. I’m even published! These are going to be a convertible wrap bracelet or necklace with pieces of life. I’m taking Eclectic Beaded Crochet Jewelry class by Robin Dudley-Howes.
Exploring & photographing sites of where I currently live is a big part of my art. It fills my bucket & creative soul. Frederick, MD is known for the local covered bridges. I took a trip to 2 of them. I’ll have to go back as the fall leaves are still not here.
This is a wet mixed media background titled “Patriotic”. I’ve got plans for you :)
Another exploring adventure. I went to visit Sweet Clover Barn . There are several barns in the area that open once a month decorated with vintage, antique & gift items. I love going to look for inspiration & support local small businesses.
